This is an all instrumental set that has a lot of fusion built into it. It should please fans of progressive rock, but those who like acts in the vein of Satriani and Steve Vai will find plenty to enjoy here, too. While there is a definite air that permeates the disc it never feels stale or redundant. This is a great album to put on and just let it play. (Gary Hill on Musicstreetjournal.com)

Der Komponist und Gitarrist aus Parma (Italien) zeigt hier einmal mehr seine Musikalität und seinen Einfallsreichtum. Mit dieser EP wird man fortwährend an den New Wave der 80er, sowie an Keyboardzauberer der 70er Jahre, wie z.B. Klaus Schulze, erinnert. Und beides gleichzeitig! Trotzdem klingt die Musik nicht altbacken, oder gar unmodern. Im Gegenteil: Gerade diese Mischung bringt Originalität und Frische. Jedes dieser sechs Musikstücke unterscheidet sich deutlich von den anderen, sowohl im Tempo, wie im Rhythmus, als auch in der Stimmung. Und dennoch ist alles aus einem Guss. “Electronic Ep” è un lavoro in cui la sei corde non è più l’unica protagonista della scena; non che le tastiere siano mai mancate nei lavori passati di Padovani, ma qui assumono spesso un ruolo rilevante e preponderante, proponendosi non in chiave moderna, quanto più come ad un omaggio di quelle che sono, da sempre, le ispirazioni del Nostro. Chiari, quindi, i riferimenti alla musica di Jean-Michelle Jarre ed Alan Parsons nel duo iniziale, tipicamente progressive, di “Time Traveler” e “Dumpster Diving”, mentre più distese ed ambientali risultano la romantica “A Love Scene” (un titolo, una spiegazione) e il mood apocalittico e drammatico sostenuto dalle tastiere tipicamente goth di “The Hourglass” – non a caso, due tracce che si ritrovano anche nella colonna sonora del film menzionato in apertura di articolo. Chiudono il lavoro il sapore fortemente jazzato del rock melodico di “Ownlife” ed un certo eco industrial alla Akira Yamaoka sulla conclusiva “Vertigo”. (Fabio Rigamonti on Spaziorock.it)

I wrote and recorded this album after scoring an indie movie, and that's why the guitar is not the leading instrument here. Insted I used more vintage keyboards (digital replicas, actually) like Roland Jupiter 8, Emulator II, Moog and others. Play loud.
